Africa is the poorest continent on Earth. Economic insecurity, political instability and corruption, and other disasters have left countries half demolished and millions of citizens displaced. The most affected individuals are women and girls either raped and/or tortured, left with unintended pregnancies and children with unknown fathers, and those wandering through villages and streets.
Reach Neighbors International Missions, Inc. shares the pain with those hurt, working in four Sub-Saharan poorest countries of Africa named Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, and Uganda.

In DR/Congo

Developing social cohesion, facilitating relationships across groups, enhancing trust among people, and promoting collaboration of members of the community are pivotal for a just and sustaining peace and well-being in Democratic Republic of Congo. In this country lives end or instantly shorten by violence and war, hunger, and untreated diseases. Communities loose main powers and agents for change such as nurses, teachers, physicians etc. Survivors wander with no hope, are left with non-parents, widows, with permanent psychological scars or trauma while rape and unwanted pregnancies became IDs for most women often left with physical disabilities and ostracized by relatives or leave the country to seek refuge. Reach Neighbors International Missions, Inc. hurts with those that are hurt and implements programs that:
  • Promote human dignity and community development such as: Caring for victims (Widows, orphans, raped women etc.) and assisting them throughout their healing and recovery processes
  • Helping poor families to the construction of nice schools, clinics, and hospitals.
  • Promote social activities and build up communities by encouraging people to innovate and implement home improvement program.
  • Partner with local schools to develop Gym and music curricula to help children.
  • Support poor women victims of violence and wars

In DR/Congo

  • We support displaced and refugees seeking safety and peace in refugee camps by providing food, clothing, and assisting their children to access to education.

Intervention approaches

Neighbors-Helping-Neighbors Approach

Our approach centers on the idea of neighbors helping neighbors. This allows us to work directly within communities that are disrupted by domestic violence, homelessness, conflict, climate-driven disasters, and poverty. We believe that meaningful change occurs when communities unite—not only to respond to immediate crises but also to collaboratively rebuild and foster long-term resilience.

Global Engagement and Support

Reach Neighbors International Missions, Inc. actively works across diverse countries, focusing on assisting individuals and communities facing instability, inequality, domestic violence, climate-related disasters, and the impacts of war. Our organization recognizes the importance of responding to urgent needs wherever they arise and adapts our approach to suit various environments and circumstances.

Humanitarian Aid and In-Kind Donations

We partner and collaborate with other entities to deliver humanitarian aid and in-kind donations to those most affected by crisis situations. These resources help to meet immediate needs, provide relief, and support recovery efforts. Our aid distribution is guided by the principles of fairness and compassion, ensuring that help reaches those who need it most.

Shelter- housing assistance

Shelter-housing assistance for individuals, displaced families, or those threatened by climate and environmental changes remains a priority. Through the provision of safe and secure accommodations, our shelter assistance program plays a crucial role in restoring dignity and stability to those who have experienced the loss of their homes due to conflict, disaster, or violence. By providing a safe place to live, we help people rebuild their lives and regain hope for the future.

Empowerment and Long-Term Development

Beyond immediate relief, Reach Neighbors International Missions, Inc. is committed to empowering constituents and supporting long-term development initiatives. Our efforts are firmly rooted in respect for local cultures and the unique contexts of each community. We work collaboratively to foster sustainable growth and resilience, ensuring that our interventions lead to lasting positive change.

Who We Partner With

Since September 2024, Reach Neighbors International Missions, Inc. (RNIM Inc) has established a partnership with the US Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), the Administration for Children, Youth and Families (ACF) to implement a comprehensive Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) program. This initiative, known as the STEP project, is being carried out in Sedgwick County of Kansas and utilizes evidence-based curricula. The program emphasizes the delivery of medically accurate and age-appropriate information and incorporates trauma-informed practices to address the unique needs of youth who have faced significant adversity.

By the end of the 24-month project period, the STEP project aims to reach over 2,000 teenagers, offering training and resources to help them avoid engaging in underage sexual behaviors outside of marriage. This initiative is designed to lower the teen birth rate and reduce STI incidence among youth in Sedgwick County.

In addition to these measurable health outcomes, participants are expected to show increased resilience, enhanced self-efficacy, and improved access to supportive resources. Collectively, these advancements will contribute to the overall well-being and future success of the youth involved. By empowering young people with knowledge and support, the project is anticipated to generate a positive ripple effect throughout the community, fostering a healthier, more informed, and empowered youth population.
