Who We Are

My name is John B Ronel, an Emeritus Pastor living in the United States. My personal story is deeply intertwined with the mission of RNIM Inc. Two decades ago, my family and I resettled in northern Wisconsin as refugees, arriving with very little and facing many uncertainties. From the outset, we were welcomed by compassionate neighbors who shared in our struggles. They provided us not only with food and shelter, but also with love, warm smiles, and every kind of support that can truly transform lives.

These experiences left an indelible mark on my heart. I witnessed firsthand how community and compassion can lift people from despair and inspire hope where it once seemed impossible. I came to realize that love is not just a feeling, but a way of living and giving.

As my children thrived and our family built a new life defined by kindness and acceptance, I made a commitment to share this love with others. This commitment became the foundation of RNIM, Inc.

Today, RNIM serves people in crisis with the same compassion and care that was shown to my family. We stand ready to help, extending our hands to uplift all those in need as they journey toward healing, belonging, freedom and independence.

Whenever my family opens our home or sits with someone who is suffering, we remember what it felt like to be seen and loved. That feeling is what RNIM, Inc strives to bring to your community and your country.

Our neighbors-helping-neighbors approach enables us to work directly in communities where lives are disrupted by domestic violence, homelessness, conflict, climate-driven disasters, and poverty. We believe real change happens when people come together—not just to respond, but to rebuild.

From rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa to urban neighborhoods in the Americas, we serve those most vulnerable to systemic neglect and environmental devastation. We support recovery and resilience by providing shelter, education, healthcare, and livelihood tools.

Whether we are equipping an elderly woman with critical health resources, helping a disabled neighbor navigate life with dignity, or supporting communities ravaged by war or flooding, we take our mission seriously: to uplift, protect, and empower our neighbors around the world.

Who We Help

Our mission is guided by compassion and focused on people who are often overlooked or underserved. We serve neighbors throughout the Americas and Africa, particularly those affected by domestic violence, aging without care, living with disabilities, or surviving in the aftermath of disaster.

Our efforts prioritize:

Women and children impacted by domestic violence, trafficking, or exploitation
People experiencing homelessness, particularly in economically insecure regions
Elderly individuals in need of healthcare, shelter, and community support
People with mental and physical disabilities who deserve dignity and independence
Refugees and displaced populations, especially those affected by war, drought, or flooding
Communities facing chronic poverty or climate-related disaster

We meet people where they are—with no prerequisites—and serve based on need alone. Our programs provide food, clean water, shelter, medical care, psychosocial support, vocational training, and tools for long-term recovery and self-sufficiency.
